Okra pods in the oven with fried fish


  • 2 Kg. okra pods                                    
  • 1 Kg. fish
  • 180 gr. Grated onion
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 1 pinch oregano
  • 300 gr. Fresh tomato
  • 80 gr. Vinegar
  • 80 gr. Parsley
  • Flour


First you cut the stalk and the top of the okra pods. Then you rinse them. In a frying pan you add the okra pods for some minutes until the down dissolves.
In a baking sheet you add the okra pods, vinegar, the grated onion, fresh tomatoes, salt, pepper and oregano. You mix all the ingredients gut each other and you allow the food to braise.
You cut the fish into big cubes. For seasoning you add salt and pepper. You coat the fish in flour and you fry it. You serve the okra pods with the fried fish and with parsley!
