Stuffed zucchinis with lemon sauce (Kolokithakia Yemista)


  • Big zucchinis
  • 250 gr. Minced pork meat                                   
  • 500 gr. Minced calf meat
  • 120 gr. Chopped onions
  • 80 gr. Green chopped onions
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 300 gr, rice
  • 100 gr. Olive oil


In a bowl you put the minced pork meat, the minced calf meat, the chopped onions, the green chopped onions, the rice, olive oil, salt and pepper. You mix the ingredients gut each other. You empty the zucchinis with a spoon. Then you fill them with the mixing.
You put the zucchinis in a pot and you let them cooking for half an hour. You prepare also the sauce. When the zucchinis are cooked, you cut into cig slices and you pour the sauce on them.
